Day Five: Woodbridge

Grandma Lisa's "special friend" lives in a community where they have all kinds of neat things to do. We spent the day over there. It was a gorgeous day! Perfect weather!
First, we had lunch at Ruby's. While waiting for the food, Scott took the kids on "excursions" to see a bunch of boat displays that they had in the restaurant. After lunch, we walked a few stores away to where there was a little (very little) play spot. The kids climbed and jumped off of these frogs a few times, before being treated to a bag of candy each at the nearby candy store!

Then it was off to the pool!
Maliya: Jump off the diving board to you? Sure!...
...maybe...
...I'll just scoot towards you, instead.
Rachel: My turn!!!...
...Then again, maybe NOT!
Maliya eventually worked up to it, though...
Also, just before leaving, I taught Maliya to hold her breath under water. She thought this was the most amazing and hilarious trick! She did it over and over and came up laughing her head off every time! We then went over to the wading pool and she wanted everyone at the pool (whether they were in our group or not) to watch her "swim like a fishy."

Then it was playgrounds and then FEEDING THE DUCKS! YAY! They LOVED this!
Word among the birds spreads pretty quickly. We ended up with a LOT of ducks, seagulls, and geese!
You know how everyone seems to have a story about feeding the ducks and then their kid getting chased down by the geese? After we ran out of bread, the geese got out of the water and started walking towards Rachel, but she was not ABOUT to be intimidated by them! Here she is yelling at them to get back in the water! Haha! Where did this girl come from?
I had told Scott that Brian is in to Rock Climbing, so he told Maliya to climb this wall and we would name it Mount Maliya and take her picture and send it to Daddy and he would be so proud. :)At the top of "Mount Maliya"!
This was a REALLY fun day! The kids were thoroughly worn out by the end. As we were walking back to the car, Maliya kept saying "I'm cranky. I need to go lay down and relax." Haha.
