a.k.a. THE FLU!!!! For some reason everything sounds more intense and dramatic to me in Estonian...
Rachel got some sort of horrible, awful, nasty stomach flu last weekend. She was totally fine and normal, until about midnight on Friday night, when she suddenly started screaming and crying. I told Brian it was his turn to go deal with the crying kid. He left. A few moments later he returned to inform me that Rachel had thrown up all over the place. Lovely.
We both went and got Rachel cleaned up and her bedding changed and laundry going. Rachel continued to throw up and have bouts of diarrhea all weekend. She would hardly eat anything, and if she did, it didn't stay with her long. She tries to hold it in as long as she can, because she hates going diarrhea (who doesn't?), but when she feels that she can no longer hold it in, she starts to cry: "The bad pee is coming!!!" The poor little thing was so weak, she would just, randomly, lay down...almost looking dead...wherever she was.
On Saturday, she took 3 naps and still went to bed on time and fell right to sleep! It has been almost a week, and STILL -just yesterday- she took a TWO HOUR nap and still went to bed just fine! This from a girl who does not normally take naps at all!
Periodically through out the day she will suddenly decide that she is too weak to stand or walk on her own and she will just sit down and cry until I come carry her to wherever it is she wants to go! My heart beaks for her...and I am VERY ready to have my energetic, healthy, funny little girl back!

Oh sad! Poor, sweet, cute little thing. When your babies are really sick, it is the worst. I hope she is better now and that none of the other kids got sick too.
