Can't believe this girl is in SCHOOL! She had picked out this red dress to wear on the first day WEEKS before school started. She wanted to leave it laying on her floor that whole time, so it would be ready. Luckily, we talked her into hanging it up in a special place, instead.
She found the rainbow with her name on it!
On back to school night, she asked her teacher where she would be sitting. Mrs Holmgren asked Rachel which table she WANTED to sit at. Lucky girl got to pick! There she is, sitting at the "purple table."That night, we were lucky enough to have a visit from the Topham clan! We were going to roast marshmallows, but it was way to windy and the flames kept blowing out. So we roasted marshmallows with the propane heater in our garage. :)
Peek-a-boo!
As I drove Rachel to school on the second day, she told me that she was not sure she liked school. She felt nervous because she didn't have any friends that she sat by. But, as soon as we got there, she started making friends with the other girls, while waiting to go into class.
After the second day, she was super brave and even told me that she didn't want me to walk her to class: she could do it herself! What?! After TWO DAYS??? Maliya wanted me to walk her to class her entire Kindergarten year! Maliya would STILL have me walk her to class, if she could! It is crazy that those two girls can both be so sweet and wonderful, while being so completely different!
