Loading these into the truck we borrowed was no easy task. Eventually, we ended up using a fork lift. But, there was no fork lift to help us get it out of the truck, once we got them home. Brian had built a ramp, earlier this summer, to help us in our landscaping, so we leaned that up on the truck bed, tilted the trees and rolled them down to the ground. We were just about to go out of town, so we just barricaded the burlap bags surrounding the roots with bark and dirt and asked a neighbor to water them for a couple days. When we got home, we started digging the big holes for the trees to go in. Now they are all planted and beautiful, yay!
Once the trees were secured in our yard for the weekend, Brian and I had to take some quick showers, finish packing and then we headed out to Idaho! Yeah, it was a crazy day. But here is some of the fun we had in Idaho:
All the grandkids that are old enough to walk, being silly geese at the table:
Brian jumping on the tramp with the older kids:
Rachel and Maliya, pretending to dirt bike/4 wheel:
Maliya, helping the Topham men work on the dirt bikes, it was pretty cute to see her out there with her dad, and his dad, and his dad!
Katie discovered the joy of climbing up stairs!...not my favorite game...
