New Age KKK

Recently, in California, Proposition 8 passed in a free election. The voice of the people ruled, as per the purpose of elections. I am aware that there are many people who are upset about the passing of this ammendment, and that is fine. There are many who are trying to fight Prop 8 and even overturn it, and that is all fine. They have a right to do so. The point at which it is no longer  fine, is the point when they begin to threaten those who voted for Prop 8. People who voted for Prop 8 have had property vandalized, have lost their jobs and livelihoods, have been blacklisted and shunned and have even been threatened physically. Many people who supported Prop 8 have been intimidated out of their First Amendment rights and have not been able to participate in religious acts, for fear of angry mobs. That is not fine. It is completely unacceptable.
Years ago, something similar to this happened. People were threatened physically as well as socially, they lost their jobs, social status, had property vandalized, and were even beaten and killed, because they used their right to vote and right of free speech in an unpopular way. The time to which I refer right now had nothing to do with sexual orientation. The offenders in the situation years ago, were the Klu Klux Klan.
You may think that it cruel of me to compare homosexuals with the KKK, but if you look at the facts of what is really happening now, and what really happened then...the similarity is undeniable. Yes, I know that the KKK performed much more heinus murders than those who are oposing Prop 8, but the basic principles are the same: People voted in a way they didn't like, and now they are blacklisting, firing, socially rejecting, and physically threatening those who oppose them. Again, I say, this is not OK.
Blacks right to vote w/o intimidation
70% blacks voted for prop 8
Intimidation used to silence voices
Fight for rights
