Growing Up And Moving Out

"It goes by so fast!" Every parent makes this statement at some point, I just didn't expect to make it so soon! My baby is already 7 weeks old and she has already grown and changed so much. Over the last couple of weeks she has been learning to be more responsive and she will smile for her mom and dad more and more--which is so fun for us!
Maliya has also been growing out of more and more of here newborn outfits. But today is a real milestone: not only did she graduate from newborn to size one diapers, but she moved out. Out of Mom and Dad's room and in to her very own. We are not sure yet if 'Mom' is ready for this move. I still find myself peeking over the walls of the bassinet several times a night...sometimes even nudging, poking, and pinching Maliya to make sure that she is still alive and breathing. It's going to be a lot more difficult to periodically check her breathing when she's down the hall in her own room. But I guess it's just part of growing up and moving out.
