Aspen Grove

We spent a few days up at Aspen Grove for one of their mini-family camp weeks, with the Myler-Hansen crew. It was A LOT of fun! We kept very busy with all their many things to do and enjoyed the clean air and beautiful scenery!

The kids  loved "riding" on the bronze animals.
The boys went fishing the first night, Maliya is trying to work up courage to touch Austin's fish:
 Her nervous pose:
 And she did it!
The first night, the camp counselors (BYU students who work there for the summer) put on all sorts of weird, random skits. It felt like I was at girls camp...only I wasn't an actual participant...I was just a random, outside, onlooker....it was weird. Here is Maliya, being highly disturbed by one of the skits:
 Katie, doing her favorite thing.
 Maliya:

Maliya got her turn to fish with Grandpa, too!
The second night, they had this awesome cowboy village. The kids LOVED it! We rode on the train SEVERAL times!

 SUCH an amazing view!
We had to get pictures of any and all face painting that happened, or we would never be forgiven for washing it off!
The kids, watching Daddy and Kimmie do the ropes course:

The final afternoon, we kept the kids out of their kid programs and we skipped some other activities and we spent some time with just our little family. We went swimming with the kids and had a lot of fun! Then, Brian told them how well behaved they had been on the trip and how proud he was of them and treated them all to some BYU ice-cream! Yum!

The last night they had this cute program that all the kids got to participate in. They had been practicing for it in their Kid-groups over the last few days. Rachel's group did "High on the Mountain Top"....
Maliya's group did the Cougar Fight Song!
Maliya's "teachers" (group leaders): She LOVED them!
After the closing program, they had a family dance. That was a lot of fun! The kids attempted a pyramid:
Rachel didn't quite get the concept and just climbed on Hallie's back like a horse. Hallie, being the sweet heart that she is, just decided to go with it!
